The proposal aims at the dissemination of the film 'Devaneio Bruxólico,' which documented reflections and part of the creative processes of the anthropologist, musicologist, and composer Acácio Piedade, a Brazilian scholar recognized for his research on indigenous rituals and transcultural compositions.
The work was conceived and directed by the Goianian Luiz Gonçalves, who seeks to deal in his creations with the utopia of having more time for silence and contemplation of nature, as structural elements to compose the poetics of various creative processes.
Acácio Piedade studied composition with the Brazilian composer Almeida Prado at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil, where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Composition. He holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology (Federal University of Santa Catarina, UFSC) and conducted research on music in indigenous rituals (Northwest Amazon and Upper Xingu). He completed postdoctoral studies in Analytical Musicology at Paris Sorbonne University and in Music and Transcultural Composition at the Franz Liszt University of Music – Weimar, Germany. He is currently an associate professor in the Department of Music and the Graduate Program in Music (Master's and Ph.D.) at the State University of Santa Catarina (UDESC), Florianópolis (SC, Brazil), where he teaches Composition and Analysis.
